The Department of Psychology was established in 1946. The Under-Graduate Course (B.A.) is offered by the department from 1946 and in the year 1971 the department has started the Post-Graduate Course (M.A.) along with Ph.D. The Programmes offered by the department are B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. The Department has Research collaboration at National level. The Department has facilities of Electronic equipments relating to (i) Reaction Time (ii) Learning (iii) Memory.Different equipment relating to Bio-feedback. In the Department, students are assessed by Monthly class test and seminar presentation at PG level. In the Department, the teachers update themselves by attending rich libraries in reputed universities, symposia, seminars, orientation and refresher Courses. Social Psychology, Psychology of Personality, Organizational Behaviour, Experimental Psychology are the major areas for research activities.
