The Department of Persian was established in 1946. Only at Under-Graduate level (B.A.) is offered by the department. There is one Teaching staff available in the department. The Department ” Organised a National Seminar on Kaifi Azmi in March, 2005 in collaboration with Department of Urdu and sponsored by the UGC and NCPUL, New Delhi. The Department has National link with Darul Musannaffeen (School of Writers), Azamgarh. The Department has accessibility of ” International famed Library of Darul Musannafeen “.
